10th Tournament is a Runaway Success

The 10th annual tournament over the weekend of the 17th and 18th July was another resounding success. Nearly 700 players from all over the country converged on Bingham Road for a festival of 5 a side. The weather was kind, with only a couple of showers. All the games ran on time and from the feedback we have had it sounds like you all had a fantastic time. Everybody was very pleased with the organization and had a great day. A big thank you to all the volunteers who helped make the weekend run so smoothly. And thank you to all the players, parents and spectators who turned up in great numbers to make it such a fabulous tournament. PICS HERE

Penalty shoot out KINGS!!!!!
In two thrilling encounters both Radcliffe reserves and the u11s team won in the big cup day at Eagle Valley, after extra time in both games.
The u11s came from behind to earn a creditable draw against Dirby County and they nearly snatched the winner with seconds to go. Stalemate after extra time meant penos. And the hero of the day was Lucy Moss saving 3 out of 5 pens. Top notch keeping!
In a 2-2 draw the reserves managed to score all 4 goals. Then hit the post and bar. When this happens you just think it's not going to be your day. But it was, and rightly so. In a game that lasted going on 3 hours both teams were flagging near the end and Ruddington looked the livelier. But the wiser and cooler heads were spot on and won the day. The reserves are also on course for the double. A big thanks to the massive support from Radcliffe today, spurring both teams on to VICTORY.
