KITS GOING TO AFRICA KIDS
An amateur football club is sending its kits all over the world.
Radcliffe Olympic Football Club, Radcliffe-on-Trent, has donated more than 200 sets of its old strips to Taking Football to Africa and Beyond.
Chairman of the ladies teams, Ian Marlow said: "I was searching the internet to find something to do with our old strips and saw the organisation. I put a call out to members and we've had kits going years back donated."
Taking Football to Africa and Beyond was founded by RAF Flight Lieutenant Neil Hope, who is based at RAF Shawbury, in the run-up to the 2006 World Cup. Neil said: "It started out sending kits to Africa but now includes countries in the Middle East and South America." He said the Radcliffe Olympic kits will be going to Tanzania or Kenya.
Anyone with spare strips can contact Neil on neil.hope999@btopenworld .com.
